Andrew is the Chief Operating Officer at Bulk Materials Engineering Australia (BMEA) which is a licensed consultancy of the University of Wollongong. He has been involved with numerous research and commercial projects for all sectors of industry, involving R&D, feasibilities, troubleshooting, audits, design and debottlenecking of bulk handling plants and processes. Projects undertaken by Andrew include: Troubleshooting of bulk materials handling plant and process problems; Analysis, evaluation and/or optimisation of existing systems; Characterisation and classification of bulk materials including flow property and dustiness testing of bulk materials; Calibrated DEM simulation modelling and design of bulk material equipment; Research and development of new technologies such as dust suppression, DEM calibration and validation; and Engineering design (including concept and detailed design and commissioning). With a robust history of optimising bulk material processes, Andrew has propelled the industry forward. His leadership at BMEA, coupled with his hands-on approach to engineering challenges, defines his commitment to innovation and excellence. Through his career, Andrew continues to reshape engineering possibilities in bulk materials and simulation modelling, embodying a fusion of expertise, vision, and practicality.
