Alejandro (Alex) Algara Hernández
Alejandro (Alex) Algara Hernández is Chief Executive Officer of Geometrica Inc., a global provider of long-span space-frame domes and free-form structures for bulk storage, industrial, mining, energy, and architectural applications. A Civil Engineer from Tecnológico de Monterrey (ITESM), Alejandro has more than 15 years of experience with Geometrica, progressing through engineering, technical management, commercial leadership, and executive roles. His work focuses on leading the company’s strategy while maintaining a strong connection between technical performance, commercial value, constructability, and long-term client needs. Alejandro has led or contributed to projects across multiple countries, including Mexico, the United States, Chile, Peru, the Philippines, Nigeria, China, and Australia. He has been involved in the design, proposal, negotiation, and delivery of large clear-span structures for demanding environments, including mining and bulk storage facilities subject to high wind, snow, seismic, corrosive, and remote-site conditions. He has also contributed to technical publications presented through ASCE and IASS technical forums, including work related to cold-formed steel tube behavior and long-span free-form dome structures.
